Original Acrylic mixed media painting on canvas. Half Jack and half what?  Half Jack is one of my silhouette paintings, which are most often painted with severe migraines.  I crawl into my studio with the migraine and just sit on the floor and start painting.  I seem to fall into pure function, or maybe creation is the better word, where the pain and the paint both merge into a trancelike state.  I rise from this state with no migraine and perhaps several paintings in different states of completion and very little memory of the time spent creating.  I have been often told by collectors and strangers alike that they felt I created a painting specifically for them, that it represents a certain person, or event in their life.  This one has yet to be claimed.  Does it resonate with you?
